The Lucknow metro might have had a bumpy start, but judging by the figures, metro seems to have become a preferred means of public transport for the city. In just 70 days of its commercial business, Lucknow Metro has had a footfall of more than 10 lakh commuters, giving the LMRC project a good start.
A cumulative footfall of 10,13,121 has been recorded by the Lucknow Metro till November 15.

This huge figure comes as a boost to LMRC and points towards the success of Lucknow metro. When the metro rides began in the city, there was a big question, whether or not people will choose metro over other means of transport? But the number of people moving to and fro via metro only proves a successful future for it.

People have already chosen metro as their ride when only a 9 km long stretch has been made functional in the city. This clearly proves the need for a better public transport in the city.
The highest footfall in Lucknow Metro was recorded on September 10 this year when 41,075 passengers traveled, while on the first day 31,688 passengers commuted in Lucknow Metro.
Lucknow metro comes with a lot of features, that includes-
WiFi, GoSmart card, free drinking, a barrier-free system for disabled persons, toll-free helpline, free toilets, easily accessible staff and security personnel. Metro is enabling a smooth and hassle-free to all the commuters.
Lucknow metro started running since September 6 this year, and very soon become the most comfortable, reliable and safe mode of transport for the people, and an environment-friendly too.
