After the vice-chancellor of Lucknow University was given the additional charge of Sampurnanad Sanskrit University, he has been devising ways to revamp the educational system at the institution. Reportedly, LU will help the state’s oldest premier Sanskrit institute in charting its way to the world of online learning. With an agreement between the two institutions, the students of Sanskrit University will be benefitted from the facilities of LU’s virtual education platform-SLATE.
Amalgamating the ideas of Digital India, Atmanirbhar Bharat & E-Shiksha
Strategic Learning Application for transformative education (SLATE) will usher online learning opportunities for the pupils of Sanskrit University. Reportedly, the officials from Lucknow Univerisity will visit the SSU campus in Varanasi to train the teachers and staff with the functions of SLATE, after the MoU is finalised.
A shining example of ‘Digital India’, ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ and ‘E-Shiksha’, SLATE will widen the scope of education at Sanskrit University. It is to be noted that there is no limit on the count of student beneficiaries that can take part in the classes offered by the app.
Provisions for submitting assignments, taking tests and assessments
Apart from virtual classes, SLATE would also encapsulate provisions for online tests and assessments. Further, students will be able to submit their assignments in a virtual format through SLATE.
This innovative platform can be used from a range of devices including mobile, laptop and computers. Given the fact that Sankrit University hosts both national and international students, the application is expected to advantage individuals across the globe.
