Lucknow residents are experiencing a chilly December week, with the Meteorological Department forecasting dense fog and dropping temperatures ahead. Over the past two days, clouds and light drizzle in some parts of the state, also caused a notable temperature decline in the city. Daytime temperature was recorded at 24.3°C while at night, the mercury hovered around 11°C.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasts daytime temperatures to reach around 24°C today. However, the night temperatures are expected to be 9 °C, till December 14 (Saturday). The western disturbance has created a mix of cloudy and partially sunny conditions, contributing to the cooler climate.
The IMD predicts extensive fog in the coming days, primarily affecting morning and late-night hours while pointing towards clearer daytime conditions. With an Air Quality Index between 130-145, sensitive groups are advised to limit outdoor activities.
