After experiencing unusually cold weather this week, Lucknow and other cities of Uttar Pradesh are likely to witness a further dip in temperature in the coming days. As per the prediction by the Indian Meteorological Department, Lucknow will not witness any respite from severe cold waves in the next 48 hours. Notably, the MeT has issued a warning in the northern parts of the country regarding the temperature drop expected in the next five days.

With spells of thundershowers likely to take over Lucknow in the next two days, the extreme cold waves are set to further spread their foot in the capital city. With a generally cloudy sky, the city will experience gloomy cold days this week as well. After the speels of rain this weekend, the city’s temperature is likely to drop down to 9°C, suggest reports. Additionally, dense to very dense fog is likely to cover the city as well.

Apart from Lucknow, the Indian Meteorological Department has issued a warning for the people of several other districts of Uttar Pradesh as well. As per the prediction made by the MeT, a 4-degree drop in temperature will be recorded in Uttar Pradesh in the next three days.
Bijnor, Muradabad, Amroha, Meerut, Bulandshahar, Agra, Firozabad, Mainpuri, Lakhimpur Kheri, Unnao, Raebareli, Etawa, Auraiyya, Kanpur Dehat-City, Jhansi, Jalaun, Lalitpur, Hamirpur, Mahoba, Barabankim Ayodhyam Sultanpur, Bahraich, Shravasti, Balrampur, Gonda, Siddharthnagar, Basti, Sant Kabir Nagar, Maharajgan, Kushinagar, Gorakhpur, Deoria, Amethi and Hapur will experience severe cold days this week, informs the MeT department.
