Indira Mahindra had authored and published four books and was also featured in the Bollywood film Kaali Ghata while in Mumbai. The fervent support she ushered for Indian art and culture was unparalleled.
This festival was built upon the very principles that Indira Mahindra lived by- to bring together people from all walks of life and to celebrate the rich culture of our country

The cornerstone of the Santakada Festival, Madhavi Kukreja is the feisty and fierce lady who makes us believe in the concept of prevailing goodness in our world!
She is a development livelihood professional and human rights activist who helps marginalized rural women to focus on skills and perspective building to inculcate a sense of leadership amidst them!
Since 2006, Sanatkada organisation has been working to revive, restore and showcase traditional and handmade crafts, jewellery and textiles from around the country in Lucknow while focusing specially on the indigent Muslim women!
