Every time we think we know Mumbai through and through, we come across a new place! And this time it’s Bandra’s Gelato Bar. The idea of a perfect gelato is rarely out of Italy – in fact, it’s quite unattainable. Nevertheless, The Gelato Bar in Bandra, Mumbai, is serving heaping cones of creamy gelato masterpieces to it’s customers. So hop on while we take you along to taste these sophisticated Italian desserts!

Generally speaking, gelatos are richer in flavour and denser than a typical ice cream. Due to its fresh ingredients, the flavours are more intense, than an usual ice cream scoop.
And luckily for us, The Gelato Bar recently opened it’s pastel purple shutters in Bandra, to offer handcrafted gelato with locally-sourced ingredients and in-house toppings. Whether you choose gelato in a cup, cone, sandwich or sundae, there’s a table and a long bench, for patrons to enjoy their treats however they’d like.

While here, we couldn’t help but stare lovingly at the 16 gelato pans, stacked with handcrafted ice-creams. Anyone would be spoilt for choices – given the tempting range of authentic Italian gelato! However, to assure that you always have a safe bet, Knocksense has put together a list of best ice cream options at The Gelato Bar.
For us, the freshly crafted single scoops of Vegan Dark Chocolate Chip and Sicilian Pistachio were enough, to experience palatial bliss! For our non-vegan audience, the Alphonso Mango is a must-try, and we’re sure, you won’t stop at one. You can get a small cup for ₹210 with two flavours or a large one for ₹520, with three flavours.
Also if you’re a fan of coffee-flavoured desserts, look no further. Try out their espresso-flavoured Dark Choco Late. Highly recommended for it’s heady, creamy, and slightly bitter aftertaste.
