Don't park your vehicle here or you'll regret it later
Traffic in Mumbai is crazy difficult to navigate through. As if living in the city isn't a challenge in itself the traffic tests your patience every single day. And when it comes to parking issues, don't even get us started. It seems that people have taken over the roads and parking lots have been deemed redundant.
It seems that the situation will not remain the same for long. With an aim to crackdown illegal parking in the city, the Bombay Municipal Corporation (BMC) has implemented a 'No Parking Rule' at five major roads in the city.
In an attempt to free the roads of Mumbai from the illegally parked vehicles and cut down on the chaos at the roads, the BMC has implemented a strict 'No Parking' rule at these roads in the city. These include New Link road, MK road in Church gate, Gokhale and Oshiwara road in Dadar.
According to reports towing vehicles and the police both are keeping a vigilant eye on the vehicles parked right at the road.
Officials in the city say that the crucial step has been taken to ensure that the congestion caused due to illegally parked cars at the road decreases.
If you do not wish for your vehicle to be towed away and pay hefty fines, do not park them at roadside, especially at the aforementioned roads. The step will ensure decongestion of major roads in the city, which the residents will surely be thankful for.
Yet, BMC should also introduce new parking lots to ensure their steps do not go in vain.
