Mumbai’s live concert calendar just got even hotter! Global pop sensation, Enrique Iglesias, is set to perform in the city, marking his first concert in India in over a decade. As per a report in Hindustan Times, Enrique will be performing in Mumbai this October, with a Gujarat-based events company bringing him to India.
If confirmed, the upcoming show will be the Spanish singer’s first Indian concert since 2012, when he toured Pune, Gurugram and Bengaluru. Enrique Iglesias’s India concert reports follow the tours of international legends such as Coldplay, Guns N’ Roses, Maroon 5, Bryan Adams and other major artists.
India: A long-time favourite for Enrique
The “Hero”, “Bailamos” and “Heart Attack” hitamker, has often professed his love for India. In earlier interviews, Enrique has referred to India as “one of his favourite places in the world.” A throwback video he shared in 2019 captured a moment from his last tour here—a fan chasing his car on a bike just for a glimpse. “We all love you here a lot”, the fan had said. Enrique reposted the clip on Instagram with the caption: “One of my favourite places in the world! I love you #India… can’t wait to be back!!”
However, Enrique’s Mumbai concert, which thousands of people are looking forward to, has still not been officially confirmed. Additionally, Mumbai is currently absent from the list of tour venues featured on his official website.
