Global furniture giant, IKEA launched its second Indian store in Navi Mumbai, on December 18. Established over an expanse of over 5 lakh square meters on the Thane-Belapur Road, this store is IKEA's second Indian venture, after the Hyderabad store which opened in August 2018. In a bid to ensure a safe shopping experience for the customers, IKEA Navi Mumbai has mandated pre-booked slots via website registration and the number of in-store consumers has also been restricted.
IKEA Navi Mumbai's availability of slots will probably change daily
IKEA Navi Mumbai has decided to implement social distancing norms by limiting the number of visitors in the store and prior website registration has been made compulsory.
Their web portal reads, "In order to ensure a safe shopping experience for our customers, we are welcoming visitors only with pre-booked slots by completing the following online registration form. This allows us to manage the number of people we have in the store at any given time, in line with the current guidelines in the city. Our extensive safety measures are there throughout your visit, including temperature checks upon entry, multiple sanitisation points in-store, indicators for social distancing, and more. Looking forward to seeing you soon, with your mask on, of course."
This registration comes with a specific day and time slot allotted to the visitors but now as per IKEA'S website, the slot is already full for the next two weeks. The company is presently following a two-week advance booking system and the availability of slots will probably change daily. IKEA's website states, "We are currently following a two-week advance booking. So, the availability of slots is likely to change every day, Do come back again to book your visit with us."
