In a first, BEST replaces 4 non-AC buses with brand new AC decks on popular routes

The upgrade has been extended to city dwellers in response to commuter suggestions and demands.

The BEST has decided to induct 4 new AC buses to its fleet, replacing non-AC buses running on popular routes within the city. This is the first occurrence where the civic body has decided to initiate air-conditioned decks on routes of non-AC buses. As per reports, the upgrade has been extended to Mumbaikars in response to commuter suggestions and demands.

BEST upgrades on popular non-AC routes in Mumbai

In a bid to improve its services, BEST has decided to convert four popular non AC routes with AC ones, facilitating comfort and luxury to the city dwellers with this public transport upgrade. Check out the schedule of these buses on the following routes:

  • RC Church to Kamala Nehru Park: Route no 106 has been upgraded as AC route A-106. The first bus will depart from RC Church at 6:05 AM and the last bus will run at 8:40 PM. This service will be available from Monday to Saturday.
  • Backbay depot and Sewree: Route no 134 has been renamed as A-134; AC service. The BEST spokesperson informed that the first bus will run at 5.25 am and the last one will be available at 8.35 pm from Backbay depot.
  • Navy Nagar and Churchgate: bus route no 137 has been renamed as A-137. Running from Navy Nagar, the first and last buses will begin at 6:30 AM and 10:50 PM, respectively.
  • CMST to Backbay depot bus route no 138 will run the AC service as A-138, every day from CSMT at 6:05 AM. The last service will depart at 11:42 PM from the terminus only.
With this upgrade, Mumbai is revamping itself to keep up with the pace of modernisation. Providing timely services and promoting ease of mobility, BEST is proving itself to be a Mumbaikar's true companion in every commute!
