This also breaks the record for the coldest November day in Mumbai since 2016 for the second time this week, with the first such instance happening on Tuesday.
According to the Meteorological Department, this drop in temperature is being caused by early snowfall across Northern India, which is brining cold and dry winds to Mumbai. As for the forecast, the weather department has predicted that the city will witness more such chilly nights and cloudy in the coming days.
