Registrations for UG courses at Mumbai University now open!

Last date for online registration is August 4

The online application procedure for all undergraduate programs offered by Mumbai University commenced on July 24 and will remain open till August 4. The first merit list along with the university cut offs will also be announced on August 4 itself.


Admissions Open!

The online procedure to apply for Mumbai University and affiliated colleges for the academic year of 2020 has begun. A week after the State Board declared the HSC results, the University of Mumbai has issued a notice announcing the sale of its forms from July 24. The last day of online registrations for all candidates who wish to apply to the Varsity for undergraduate programs is August 4. These online forms are available at mu.ac.in

The process of application and admission will be fairly transparent. The distribution of program seats and eligibility criteria have been provided by the Varsity to the principals of its various affiliated colleges which can be checked here. The University pre-admission form along with a declaration form need to be submitted by the candidate to the affiliated allotted college to confirm their admission and seat.

The first merit list of University admissions will be declared on August 4 only. The marks of these lists shall play up as the cut off percentages and no separate cut off list shall be published or announced. Though the students have not received their class 12 marksheets yet, the colleges are working on provisions to devise a distribution technique for the same.

Candidates getting provisional admission certificate need to produce it at the time of document verification at the respective colleges, when they submit the hard copies of their mark sheets and other documents.

First-ever bird survey conducted at Sardarpur Sanctuary near Indore, lists 81 species of avifauna

Sardarpur Sanctuary has been previously known amidst bird watchers for the spotting of Lesser Florican.

At the Sardarpur Wildlife Sanctuary, the first-ever survey of birds was conducted by the Forest Department in association with bird experts from all across the state. This group of ornithologists from Wildlife Warriors, has identified 81 species of birds in the sanctuary, and as per claims, many of them out of this lot are not usually spotted in this region. Sardarpur Sanctuary has been previously known amidst bird watchers for the spotting of Lesser Florican, which is an endangered species and is the smallest of all in the bustard family.

Mumbai Metro to extend its Versova-Andheri-Ghatkopar services to 230 from January 18

As per the revised schedule, the first train will leave Versova at 7:50 AM while the metro service from Ghatkopar has been scheduled for 8:15 AM.

Mumbai Metro One Pvt Ltd (MMOPL) resumed its services back in October after a halt of almost seven months due to the early phase of the ongoing pandemic. Now, to keep pace with the surging ridership, the metro authorities have decided to extend their Metro-1 (Versova-Andheri-Ghatkopar) services from January 18. The number of trains will be stretched to 230 from 200 and along with it, gates at both ends of the stations at Saki Naka, Marol Naka, Chakala and Western Express Highway (WEH) will be thrown open to commuters.
