Several regions in Mumbai may also experience a low-force supply during water outage.
The Brihanamumbai Municipal Corporation announced that several areas in Mumbai will face a water supply shortage in the coming days. The civic body is running regular repair work, due to which parts of the city, including Parel, Naigaon, Andheri and Vile Parle will suffer a water cut for the next 3 days. Reportedly, several regions in Mumbai may also experience a low-force water supply during this duration.
Check timings of water outage:
According to the order issued by the BMC, Parel and Naigon will receive a restricted water supply on October 5 and 6, from 10 AM, while Andheri and Vile Parle will face water cuts on October 6 and 7 till 10 AM. The BMC has also warned that water supply in some areas may be completely cut off and a low-pressure flow will be likely in others.
The BMC has urged people to store adequate water, hygienically, for the routine repair work of the water lines will result in a water outage. The BMC has clarified that the water cut is due to the maintenance work only and not due to a shortage.
Reportedly, the BMC has undertaken routine maintenance work of pipelines, several times previously, to ensure the quality and the amount of pressure of the water supply across Mumbai. The water supply will be restored as soon as the work is completed, assured officials. People are encouraged to use water wisely until then.
