Vistara's Boeing 787-8 is all set to run on the Mumbai-London route thrice a week from January 16 onwards. At present, the airline is operational on the Delhi-London route thrice a week. All UK flights are being operated from India under the bilateral air bubble agreement between these two countries.
What is an air bubble?
An air bubble is a bilateral agreement between two countries under which airlines from both countries can operate international flights with a set of regulations and restrictions. Indian airlines have been permitted to operate special international flights under the Vande Bharat Mission since May and under the bilateral air bubble pacts since July.
High demand for flights between India and UK
According to officials at Vistara, the response of Delhi - London flight has been encouraging. Adding Mumbai- London flight will further strengthen the network. Flights to operate on Mumbai-London route thrice a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

Vistara's initiative of introducing flights from Mumbai-London will be a great help to passengers, with the rising demand for flights on the route. In the wake of the pandemic, scheduled international flights are suspended since 23rd March, 2020.
