Wednesday’s downpour continued into yesterday morning, causing disruptions such as waterlogged streets and traffic jams. While the local train network, the city’s lifeline, slowed briefly, it resumed normal operations.
Today, Mumbai woke to a cloudy sky after last night’s heavy showers. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has not issued any alerts for Mumbai today, but significant rainfall is expected throughout the day. Alerts might be issued later if conditions change.
Additionally, an Orange Alert has been issued for Central Maharashtra, particularly Dhule, Nandurbar, and Nasik, while a Yellow Alert is in effect for 19 other cities across the state.
