Knocksense: A local content and recommendations platform

Every couple of years, there is that one show that leaves us not only spellbound, but also with some unanswered mysteries and questions. Of late, the popular Netflix show, Sacred Games is a great example of that and the cliffhanger at the end had us all at the edge of our seats. Since then, we have eagerly been awaiting the second season of the show and it seems that Netflix has heard our cries.

Netflix India recently took to twitter and announced “Calendar nikal. Taarekh likh le. 14 din me kuch bada hone waala hai”. The line is one of the most spine tingling dialogues by Ganesh Gaitonde, the protagonist of the show and also doubles up as something of a macguffin.

The tweet gets our hopes high about the possibility of a new season coming out very soon, but wait. Since the tweet was posted, 14 days later would be April 1, which also happens to be April Fools’ Day. Here’s hoping that this wasn’t just a prank and we do get to see the new season.

A few days back, Netflix also let out a rather cryptic Instagram post that gives us a slight glimmer of hope for the upcoming season. The post had a rather convoluted message and could point to an episode title.

Since there are four such tweets, the second season of the highly successful show might only have that many episodes. Though we will gladly accept more episodes, this quasi-confirmation on the part on Netflix India reinforces our hopes and has us excited for the same.

Sacred Games is a Netflix show that stars a brilliant cast with a gripping plot line. Along the lines of adult themes, the show has resonated well with the Indian youth and has set a benchmark for the new era of Indian web series.
