The Delhi Metro has long been the lifeline of the city. On a daily basis, it is used by more than 25 lakh Delhiites, for the sole reason that it is so convenient. Now, the convenience is being taken to the next level with the introduction of e-cycles at Saket and Malviya Nagar Metro stations, which are part of the Yellow Line of DMRC.

This will surely bring about a change in the way that people use the metro. This move aims at solving the last mile connectivity woes, that people face and here is everything you need to know about the new service!

What's the update?

Following many complaints of daily commuters regarding the last mile connectivity from a lot of metro stations, the DMRC (Delhi Metro Rail Corporation) has decided to go forward with this move.

Essentially, there will be an addition of new e-bikes at the metro stations of Saket as well as Malviya Nagar. This is in line with some of the other metro stations on Blue Line, Yellow Line and Red Line metros which also provide this facility to commuters.

To bring this facility to the masses, the DMRC has tied up with a private player, which is not a big surprise. The private company is called Mobycy Zypp, which is a Gurugram-based e-scooter startup.

How can you get one?

Well, the entire process is actually quite simple, even if you're not a regular user of the metro. All you have to do is scan a QR code at the point of pick up for your bike and then take it to the desired location. If you want to make things easier, you can also download the mobile app, which has a slew of handy features such as available e-cycles, parking spots, navigation and even fares.

Knock Knock

The Delhi Metro is constantly trying to be more and more environment friendly. The addition of this facility of e-bikes at the two Yellow Line metro stations is something that was the need of the hour. Along with this, you can also take other electric rides to your destination, which is another environmentally sound decision by the DMRC.
