When in Delhi, the public transport is pretty much all you need to get a feel of the city. On several occasions, however, taking the auto rickshaw to your final destination seems like the best option. Though you can find an auto pretty much everywhere, you can head to one of the 500 auto stands which will be the designated pick up areas for the three wheelers.

The best part? All of the new auto stands can be found on Google maps, meaning that if you've booked an auto, you don't have to worry about pick up points.

What's the update?

Often times, finding a dedicated auto rickshaw stand can be a chore. Though these three wheelers can be found all over town, they are permitted to stop only at designated auto stands. Now, finally, after a long wait, there are 511 new auto stands in Delhi that will play host to auto rickshaws. Since they can all be found on Google Maps, the benefits of it are innumerable.

What changes can you expect?

One of the major developments that the new auto rickshaw stands will bring about is to help streamline traffic. Delhiites are no strangers to the sight of autos just lined up at the side of a busy road, causing chaos and creating a bottleneck in traffic.

Now, with the help of the new auto stands, this should be eliminated as the autos will be parked in a streamlined fashion, and separated from the main on road traffic. What we're hyped up about is the Google Maps integration.

One no longer has to stand at the side of a road and wait for an auto, the old fashioned way. You can head over to any one of the 511 auto stands and get going in a jiffy.

Knock Knock

Of late, there have been quite a few developments that are completely changing the way that we travel in Delhi. This is one of the better developments and we can certainly get behind something like this.
