Delhi has another reason to cheer because their cantonment is awarded to be the cleanest in India. It is truly a moment of great pride and honour as the capital city swept the clean cantt tag. Swachh Survekshan Awards 2019 declared its results, today, 6th March which made it clear that our city never fails in making us proud.

This cleanliness survey takes place in all cities and states rating them on the basis of cleanliness and public feedback among their indicators. Delhi Cantt had been awarded the cleanest Cantonment of India in 2018 as well which makes this year the second year of victory.

Ravi Gupta, a citizen of Delhi, showed his happiness when he was asked how he felt about this achievement, “I feel very proud that my city has won an award for having the cleanest Cantt. As an individual, I will make sure that this award doesn’t lose its meaning and we maintain the cleanliness.”

Anjali Sharma, a college student, also had a few words to say for her city, “This makes me really excited because people who don’t live in India have a very stereotypical assumption about our country where they think that this is a very dirty place. This news made me really happy because this is not just an achievement for the country but also a proof to break those stereotypes.”

Indore bagged the title of India’s Cleanest City, 2019. The Swachh Survekshan Awards are a wake up call for us to keep our cities clean because our city is our responsibility.

Maharashtra govt slashes rates for COVID test across Mumbai & other state districts

COVID tests rates reduced to ₹500 for lab walk-ins and ₹700 for home testing.

The Maharashtra government slashed the rates for RT-PCR, rapid antigen, and antibody tests for the sixth time on Monday. According to the new rate card, getting an RT-PCR COVID test in any hospital or a laboratory in Maharashtra will cost ₹500, while home sampling will incur ₹700 now. The price for bulk testing by government agencies has also been reduced to ₹350, from ₹500.

The price of a rapid antigen test has been marked at ₹100 if a person goes to a hospital or lab for testing, and ₹250 for home collection. A rapid antigen test would cost ₹150 if it would be carried out in a kiosk or a place of mass collection.

On Monday, the NCC Group headquarters at Lucknow organised a felicitation ceremony for the war widows of the 1971 battle.

Notching up the celebrations of the ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’, the National Cadet Corps (NCC) is conducting ‘Azadi ki Vijay Shrankhla aur Sanskritiyon ka Mahasangam’ to honour the brave-hearts of the 1971 Indo-Pak war. On Monday, the NCC group headquarters at Lucknow organised a felicitation ceremony for the war widows of the historic battle at Malviya Hall of Lucknow University. Notably, this mega tribute launched by the NCC on November 28 spans over 75 locations across India and will conclude by December 10.

Augmenting the existing medical infrastructure in Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow's Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute (SGPGI) is all set to start air ambulance services soon. As per the official report, the administration has given a go ahead for this new facility and the construction of helipad is about to begin by 2022 January. Notably, the PGI administration has already filed a detailed project report for this upcoming facility.

Eternal Hospital in Jaipur performs more than 3000 TAVI/TAVR procedures!
