Travel time between Delhi-Mumbai via Rajdhani Express to be reduced to 12 hours soon

The Western Railway (WR) has launched the groundwork for several projects that will help boost the speed of outstation trains, including the Mumbai Central- New Delhi Rajdhani Express. The premium passenger train currently takes 15 hours to travel from Mumbai to the National Capital Delhi. With the latest developments, this duration will be cut down by 3 hours, making it a 12-hour long journey.

Remodelled Gangapur City Yard to facilitate high-speed run of trains on the Delhi-Mumbai route

The services of Indian Railways along the Delhi-Mumbai route will now race through a speed of 130 kmph, facilitating rapid travel between the two cities. This development has been made possible with the completion of the Ganagapur City Yard remodeling project, last month. The project reached its last leg in July.
