Negative RT-PCR report not mandatory for fully vaccinated individuals entering Maharashtra

Authorities in Maharashtra have scrapped off the rule to produce negative RT-PCR test reports if passengers are fully vaccinated. Visitors that have received both doses of the anti-viral shot at least 15 days before travel and have the COWIN portal certificate to authenticate the same, do not require to produce the negative test reports for entry into the state. This new protocol is valid for both, domestic and international flyers, read reports.

BMC waives off mandatory quarantine in Mumbai for int'l flyers who've received COVID shots

In a new set of advisories issued by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation, international travel protocols have witnessed a major alteration. All passengers reaching Mumbai from the UK, Europe, Middle East, South Africa and Brazil can avoid the compulsory institutional quarantine if they have received both doses of the coronavirus vaccine. Besides them, BMC has also waived off the quarantine-on-arrival for people over the age of 65 years, women in an advanced stage of pregnancy and both parents accompanying children below the age of 5 years.

NHSRCL signs deal with L&T-IHI consortium for Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train project

COVID negative test report mandatory for travelling to Mumbai from these 5 destinations

In view of the recent rise in the number of covid positive cases, Mumbai has imposed travelling protocols for all commuters arriving from Delhi-NCR, Goa, Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Kerala. Mumbai Airport sets up a dedicated zone for COVID-19 testing of domestic flyers

In an attempt to break the chain of COVID-19 transmission due to increased inter-state movement, Chattrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) has created new, special zones to test all domestic passengers from Delhi, Goa, Rajasthan and Gujarat for the coronavirus infection. The airport authorities have stated that all travellers, arriving from these above mentioned places, will be directed to the test zone, located near the baggage carousel, to undertake the COVID-19 test before they leave the airport premises.
