Knocksense: A local content and recommendations platform

Beautiful China, finger sandwiches, delectable sweets, muffins, exquisite crockery and of course a good cup of tea comes to mind every time we think of ‘high tea’. The tradition of ‘high tea’, or taking the tea at the table with a few dainty snacks, has been big in the UK. With tea being excessively popular in India, we too have adapted the culture; yet, not many places in the country can justify dedicating themselves to tea like The Taj Mahal Tea House in Bandra has.

Opened by Hindustan Unilever, the makers of famous Taj Mahal tea, The Taj Mahal Tea House in Bandra is all about the leisure of high tea and everything associated with it.

The place for all tea connoisseurs

Taj Mahal Tea House is pretty as a picture, the interiors are stunning and being here can be defined as nothing less than a luxury. Taj Mahal Tea House is an ode to the tea culture of India that has gone through variations since ages, only to become a better and more inclusive experience.

The Taj Mahal Tea House is a place which beckons the tea lover who wants nothing less than a luxurious experience for their ‘tea-time’. The tiered tea stand, the expensive cutlery, the delicate china and the stunning ambience come together to make for a tea experience which is unlike any you’ll ever have.

All about Instagram-worthy food & exquisite teas

The Tea House, its surreal vibe and the decor make for a stunning place that is perfect for those artistically inclined and those who enjoy the finer things in life. From the furniture to the decor and the gorgeous crockery, everything here screams luxury yet doesn’t go over board to become gaudy or over the top. Its sublime beauty has made this the most Instagrammed tea house in the country and it is the testament of how stunning the place is.

The hazelnut croissant, Earl Grey Panna Cotta, monsoon platter, house-made Eggs Benedict and the high tea platters are a must try. When it comes to tea, we would recommend the Kashmiri saffron chai, bold spices chai, flat masala milk and the Taj Mahal single origin Assam tea for a unique tasteful experience.

Knock Knock

If you’re a tea fan and think there’s nothing better than tasting a perfectly made tea, nibbling on a few snacks and enjoying the experience of high tea, the place is perfect for you. Though not exactly on the ‘affordable’ end of the spectrum, if you look at the overall experience combined, you’ll realise that the place is worth the hype.
