We all know Ayushmann Khurrana for his soothing voice, his outstanding movies, his extraordinary acting skills and his charming looks. The ‘Badhaai Ho’ actor has performed in some remarkable films like ‘Andhadhun’, ‘Vicky Donor’, ‘Dum Laga Ke Haisha’, all of which have been massive hits among the audience. He will now be seen in his upcoming film ‘Article 15’ which is directed by Anubhav Sinha. The first teaser of the film is out and we’re excited to see what the actor has in store for us this time.
The film is inspired by Badaun rape case and is set to be released on June 28. The teaser of the film includes Ayushmann’s voiceover quoting Article 15 of the Constitution of India. The actor will play the role of a police officer in the film and hopes to see India evolve into a country without discrimination.
The Article 15 teaser also showcased glimpses of communal riots, vehicles on fire and mob violence. Speaking about the film, Ayushmann said “I’m always intrigued by the socio-political situation of our country. We hardly see films which present the situation in an unbiased way.”
Essentially, the movie is more about sending a message that resonates within each Indian that watches it.
The film’s first poster was revealed on Monday with the reflection on Ayushmann’s sunglasses showcasing two girls hanging from ropes, which adds a lot of suspense to the film. Director Anubhav Sinha said, "this was a very challenging film that needed an extraordinary actor like Ayushmann. Delighted to have him on board with an explosive bundle of such talented and acclaimed actors."
The film also features Isha Talwar, Manoj Pahwa, Sayani Gupta, Kumud Mishra, M Nassar and Ashish Verma, Sushil Pandey, Subrajyoti Bharat and Zeeshan Ayyub. We have already seen some mind blowing performances by Ayushmann Khurana, let’s see how he nails this one.
