Most importantly it does not treat the fans as idiots, it will ask you to participate intellectually and question “If this continues, what will happen?” Do remember this is not a show you can enjoy with your family just after a dinner, it involves deep introspection.
Vikings is an original Canadian-Irish series broadcasted by the Canadian channel, History, created and written by Michael First. The show was originally planned to be a miniseries, but after the strong support it got from critics and viewers alike, the show was renewed for a second season and is currently on its fifth. Viking culture was generally based on raiding for gold and further expanding their land. The show’s storyline revolves around the political and economic structure of their society which makes it interesting.
The USP of the show is that it is very similar to Game of Thrones in term of its crazy action. So, if you are into those thrilling action series this could be the show for you.
The crown focuses on Queen Elizabeth II as a 25-year-old newlywed faced with the daunting prospect of leading the world's most famous monarchy while forging a relationship with all the Prime Ministers since and after Sir Winston Churchill. If you're into the royal family and its scandals this is the show for you guys. It gives you a look inside the Moanrch’s life versus the image the Media lens potrays. It’s the queens reign and her reality spun together into one show.
The show also lets us peel off the characters you had no idea could have so many layers like Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburg and Princess Margaret. "The Crown" is only twenty episodes long, so binge because the third season doesn't have a release date yet. Long live the Queen!
Because, all the above suggestions are western series it just becomes much more mandatory to include an original Indian Web series and what better than Zoya Akhtar’s Made in heaven. Made in Heaven is a nine episode web series that premiered on Amazon Prime recently. The show showcases the magnificent big fat Indian wedding business while also digging out the true realities that are concealed in all the chaos.
The protagonists Karan and Tara played by Arjun Mathur and Sobhita Dhulipala respectively, run a wedding planning company called ‘Made in Heaven’. While they are creating and planning these splendid weddings for the elite and powerful families, they become a part of something more than they had bargained for.
