Salman Khan to return for the 'Tere Naam' sequel?

It's hard to forget the iconic Salman Khan's 'Tere Naam' hairstyle in the Satish Kaushik emotional drama, isn't it? The pain the heartbreak and the gut wrenching feeling is still fresh in all our minds. For all the bhai fans who have been suffering from the heartbreak and still can't get over the charm of the iconic love story, there's going to be a sequel! It has just been confirmed that Satish Kaushik is planning to make a sequel of the 2003 hit.

Tere Naam was known for debut of its leading lady, Bhumika Chawla and Salman Khan's 'acting'. Written by Bala and Janinder Jain and directed by Satish Kaushik, the movie was a remake of the Tamil movie 'Sethu'. A story about two ill-fated lovers Radhe and Niraja. The movie ends with Niraja (Bhumika Chawla) committing suicide and Radhe going to a mental health institution for his condition.

Satish Kaushik confirmed that he was a planning a sequel 'Tere Naam 2' and it would be a love story as well. Though the plot is supposed to be entirely new and not a continuation of the last movie. The story is to be set in North India and the main protagonist will be a gangster.

Salman Khan to return for the 'Tere Naam' sequel?

Though Salman`s portrayal of the character Radhe in 'Tere naam' is iconic, much to the woes of fans, it has not been revealed if he will be playing the lead in the sequel too. It was commented by a source that though Satish and Salman share a great bond and even worked in 'Bharat' recently, it has not been finalised if Salman will be the main lead or a new main lead will be casted.

In the meantime, Salman is all set for the release of his period drama 'Bharat' directed by Ali Abbas Zafar. The trailer was launched this Monday and was received energetically by fans. The story revolves around Bharat, Salman's character and gives us a few flashbacks to the partition of India. The movie also stars Katina Kaif as his female lead whom he calls 'madam sir', Disha patani as a trapeze artist and Sunil Grover in a supporting role. The trailer also gives us a glimpse of Jackie Shroff as Bharat's father.
