The trailer for Disney's much awaited Frozen 2 is out and the first look at the second installment of Elsa's story seems bleaker than the first. The movie, which will be a sequel to the 2013 hit which introduced us and millions of tiny boys and girls around the world with the story of Elsa and her sister Anna.
The movie drove home the message of love, a bond of friendship and sisterhood so strong it can break any curse and foremost, the message of letting go of all the inhibitions and accepting yourself for who you are.
Elsa's character and her inhibitions resonated with millions of children and adults around the world and "Let it go" became the anthem of change.
Yet, the uplifting story had hidden societal taboos of being a social outcast, dealing with mental health issues and stereotyping people into labelled boxes. The new movie does not seem to be any different.
The trailer itself is quite bleak, showing the sister duo our snowy friend olaf and Elsa's sweetheart Kristoff going away on an adventure exploring different lands and conquering new fears.
"The past is not what it seems" and "I would not let anything happen to her" are two dialogues that stand out from the trailer.
Let's see what new hoops life has kept in store for Elsa has to jump through and what new mountain she has to conquer.
