From playing ‘Minal Arora’ in Pink, ‘Ananya’ in The Ghazi Attack and ‘Shabana Khan’ in Naam Shabana, we have seen Taapsee Pannu giving some exceptional performances. The ‘Mulk’ actress will now be seen in the upcoming crime thriller “Game Over”, a film directed by Ashwin Saravanan.
While the teaser of the film made us believe that Taapsee is being haunted by supernatural forces in the movie, the trailer elaborates on it while keeping the mystery alive. It starts with a glimpse of a poster on Taapsee's wall that says: "What if life is a video game and deja vu are just check points."
The trailer includes silence- shattering screams by Taapsee Pannu and then we see her being haunted by something that is present in her store room. She is scared by creaking of the gate and unanticipated knock on the door.
In the course of the trailer, Taapsee claims she's afraid of the dark and her condition is explained by a doctor as the 'Anniversary Reaction' - the return of haunting effects of memories of an old trauma.
The trailer shifts to the chilling tales of a killer on the loose, who targets young women. Taapsee is seen wounded sitting on a wheelchair as she continues to survive in a terrified state. The trailer ends with scenes in the dark with an armed killer approaching Taapsee. The final scenes in the Game Over trailer are that of a game controller burning in fire.
Speaking of the film, Taapsee said “When I heard this script, I knew this film has an international appeal and considering the kind of people attached with it, I had a strong belief in the product. Very few films surpass expectations and this is surely one of them.” The film is produced by YNot Studios in association with Reliance Entertainment. It will be released in Tamil, Telegu, and Hindi on June 14. Watch the trailer now
