Chinese smartphone maker Nubia has announced a new gaming smartphone, dubbed as the Nubia Red Magic 3 in China. It is the successor of the Nubia Red Magic that was launched last year.
The Nubia Red Magic 3 is claimed to be the world's first smartphone with an active cooling system. The company has claimed that the device features liquid cooling technology along with an internal turbo fan that increases the effective heat transfer by up to 500%.
Commenting on the cooling technology, Nubia said, “While other gaming phones rely on passive cooling, the Red Magic 3 pairs state-of-the-art liquid cooling technology with an internal turbo fan, increasing effective heat transfer by 500%. This groundbreaking thermal design improves comfort and boosts performance for a smoother, more comfortable gaming experience.”
The Nubia Red Magic 3 runs on Android 9.0 Pie with Redmagic OS 2.0 skinned on top. It features a 6.65-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, 19.5:9 aspect ratio and 430 nits brightness.
In terms of performance, the Nubia Red Magic 3 is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC coupled with Adreno 640 GPU. In terms of memory, the device has been launched in three variants - 6GB RAM + 64GB internal storage, 8GB RAM + 128GB internal storage and 12GB RAM + 256GB internal storage.
Coming to the camera department, the Nubia Red Magic 3 features a 48MP primary camera with Sony IMX586 sensor, f/1.75 aperture, 0.8μm pixel size and dual LED flash. On the front, the device sports a 16MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture.
The Nubia Red Magic 3 is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 27W fast charge support. Connectivity options on the device include dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack and a USB Type-C port. It sports Stereo front-facing speakers with DTS:X support.
The Nubia Red Magic 3 is available in Black, Flame Red, Camouflage and Red with Blue Gradient color options. It is priced starting at CNY 2899 (₹30,060 approx.) for the 6GB RAM variant, going up to CNY 4299 (₹44,570 approx.) for the 12GB RAM varaint. The company has revealed that it will soon launch the device in India, without revealing the exact date.
