Gamers ahoy! Asus ROG Phone to launch in India on November 29

Good news for gamers! The Asus ROG Phone will be launched in India on November 29, making it one of the first few gaming smartphones in the country. Launched back in June, the ROG Phone features a 6-inch AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a response time of 1ms.

One of the highlights of the ROG Phone is its dedicated ultrasonic buttons that can be used to execute macros used for game-specific features. These buttons can be triggered with 20 grams of force, and the 1ms display response time should mean that the lag is kept to a minimum. In addition to game-specific features, users can customize these buttons to launch apps or toggle one-handed mode.

Powering the ROG Phone is the Snapdragon 845 chipset, which is paired with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB of UFS2.1 internal storage. Asus also has a 512GB option, but it remains to be seen if the company launches it in India.

Apart from that, the ROG Phone also comes with a GameCool system, which is essentially inclusive of a copper heat spreader (a copper pipe) and a 3D vapor chamber for transferring heat away from the processor.

To make the gaming experience even better, the ROG Phone comes with an advanced haptic engine that generates vibrations toned for different levels of feedback in games.

Further, the ROG Phone is also WiGig certified and includes 802.11ad 60GHz Wi-Fi and 2x2 MIMO plus Wi-Fi Direct. If you prefer a wired connection, you can use the side-mounted USB Type-C port that supports Gigabit Ethernet. The phone also comes with an HDMI port for users who need it.

The ROG Phone is backed by a 4,000mAh battery and supports 30W fast charging. The back of the phone also houses a logo that glows - what is even better is that it can be customized, just like you can do so on the Razer phone.
