Asus today announced its latest laptops at the ongoing IFA 2018 trade show. The Taiwan based manufacturer announced 6 laptops across the Zenbook, Zenbook Pro and Zenbook Flip lineups, all powered by the latest 8th generation Intel Core processors. Asus also announced new versions of the Zenbook AIO and the Zenbook S at the trade show.
Asus is marketing its latest Zenbook laptops as the world's most compact laptops, and it is apparent right away from the displays used in these laptops. The new Zenbook series laptops come with a NanoEdge display - Asus claims that these laptops come with a screen to body ratio of 95 percent, leading to the smallest footprint among laptops in its class.
All the three Zenbook laptops are powered by eighth gen Intel Core processors and feature Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Max-Q graphics for a seamless graphics performance. Additionally, the three laptops are equipped with Intel Wireless-AC 9560 for a gigabit Wi-Fi optimized experience.
The pricing of these laptops is not known yet.
Expanding its range of compact laptops, Asus has announced the new Zenbook Flip in 13.3 and 15.6-inch variants. Being branded as the world's most compact convertible laptops, these 2-in-1 offerings from Asus come with a touchscreen display with a 90 percent screen to body ratio. Featuring 360 ErgoLift hinges, Asus says that it can tilt the keyboard to bring it up in a comfortable typing position.
Also powered by eighth gen Intel Core processors and Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Max-Q graphics, the two Zenbook Flip laptops also come with a NumberPad - an LED illuminated number pad that is integrated into the touchpad.
Featuring a lightweight build and an all-aluminum design, the Asus Zenbook Pro 14 comes with a ScreenPad and a 14-inch NanoEdge display with ultra-thin bezels. The laptop is powered by eighth gen Intel Core processors and comes with Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Max-Q graphics.
