Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 set to launch in India On 11th December

This year, there will be two variants of the Asus Zenfone Max series.

A couple of days back, there were massive leaks of Asus’s new Max Pro series phones. The leaks gave us a complete look at the phones from all angles and left nothing to the imagination- except the launch date of the smartphones.

Now, it has been confirmed by the company’s Twitter account that the phones will, in fact, be launched on 11th December in India as Flipkart exclusive phones.

With the second generation Zenfone Max lineup, Asus aims to compete with the Xiaomi Redmi Note 6, Realme Pro 2 and Vivo phones in the same category.

The leaks revealed the specifications and variants that the phone will come in. There will be two variants- Zenfone Max M2 and Zenfone Max Pro M2. The difference in the two comes on the inside as well as the exterior of the phone. The Pro variant will have a smaller notch and a glass back, as opposed to the regular variant which will have a broader notch and a metallic build.

On the inside, the Pro will sport a powerful Snapdragon 660 processor while the regular variant will have a Snapdragon 636 chipset. Both variants will come in 4GB and 6GB RAM models. Both the phones will have similar 6-inch displays with Gorilla Glass 6. As for the camera, the Max Pro M2 will have a primary sensor of 12-megapixels and a secondary 5-megapixel sensor for depth sensing. As of now, there is no word on the camera specifications of the regular Max M2 smartphone.

There is no concrete word on the battery size of the two phones but it is rumored that the Pro variant might sport a massive 5000mAH battery, taking a leaf from previous year’s Max Pro M1. We can assume that the Max M2 would not be too far behind in this category.

The Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 and Zenfone Max M2 will launch in India on the 11th of December and will be available exclusively via Flipkart.com. The price of the phone will also be revealed in the complete launch of the smartphone.
