The Pixel 3 launch day is almost here and according to a new set of reports, Google will start accepting pre-orders for its latest flagship smartphone immediately after launch. The Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL are scheduled to launch October 9, and the pre-order details have been revealed by Google itself in its promotional mails.
The Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL will come with a slew of camera improvements and the latest high end hardware like the Snapdragon 845 chipset, 4-6GB of RAM and Quad HD display. Google Japan has also suggested in its latest teaser video that both the new Pixel smartphones will come with an Active Edge feature. We had earlier seen this feature on the Pixel 2, and a couple of HTC smartphones. While the XL variant of the Pixel 2 missed out on this feature last year, Google seems to be bringing it to both the Pixel 3 and the Pixel 3 XL this time around.
According to the scores of leaks so far, most of the details of the Pixel 3 XL are already known, including its surprisingly deep notch. A new leak has also shown off the new Pixel smartphones in what look like press renders. The leak shows off the new Pixel smartphones in black and white, while a newer leak has suggested that there will be a new color called Sand, which is basically pale pink.
Additionally, the Made by Google team has also shared a post on its Instagram account, with a mockup of phones in different sizes, including a tiny one. This has fueled the rumors about a smaller-sized Pixel 3 Ultra, but it remains to be seen if Google will actually launch a compact Pixel smartphone this year.
As far as pricing of the new Pixel 3 series is concerned, the Pixel 3 is expected to be priced around Rs. 52,800, while details about the Pixel 3 XL are not known yet.
