Honor 8C has been launched in India and it is the first phone in the world to use a Snapdragon 632 processor. The 8C is a budget smartphone that packs in a lot of punch and a whole lot of new features to rustle up Xiaomi and OPPO’s budget smartphones.
Some of the new features that the Honor 8C brings to the table are the dual cameras, a large battery and the new processor. In terms of the design, it has a notch on the front which is slightly smaller than a regular notch you will find on other phones. The back of the phone is also home to a fingerprint sensor.
The phone has a 6.26-inch HD+ (1520 x 720 pixels) IPS LCD panel with a 19:9 aspect ratio. It is a little underwhelming to see that the phone does not have a full HD display, which can be found on most phones under this price range. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 SoC, coupled with 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of built-in storage. Storage can be expanded as well, which is a welcome addition.
The Honor 8C runs on Android 8.1 with an EMUI 8.2 skin.
In the camera department, the smartphone has a 13 megapixel +2 megapixel AI enabled camera. The 13-megapixel sensor is the primary sensor whereas the 2-megapixel sensor works for depth sensing capabilities. On the front, the smartphone has an 8-megapixel selfie camera. The phone is powered by a 4000mAh battery.
