The OnePlus 6T launch is just around the corner and there seems to be a new teaser coming out of OnePlus in the build-up to the launch. OnePlus CEO Pete Lau took to Weibo to share a camera sample from the OnePlus 6T, showing off the phone’s low-light camera prowess.
The image, captured under challenging low-light conditions, shows how the upcoming OnePlus flagship performs. Reports suggest that the OnePlus 6T will come with a 12MP main camera with a variable aperture of f/1.5 to f/2.4, along with a dedicated night mode. This should improve the camera performance at least in comparison with the OnePlus 6.
OnePlus 6T specifications
The OnePlus 6T is expected to launch with a 6.4-inch Optic AMOLED display with an in-display fingerprint sensor. It will be launched with Android 9.0 Pie out of the box with an updated version of Oxygen OS on top.
Powering the OnePlus 6T will be the octa-core Snapdragon 845 chipset, coupled with up to 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB UFS2.1 storage.
OnePlus 6T pricing
According to a new leak, the OnePlus 6T will see a mild increase in prices, and the storage variants on offer will also change. The report suggests that the OnePlus 6T will start at ₹37,999, which would seem like an increase of ₹3,000 when compared to the OnePlus 6. However, while the OnePlus 6 is being offered at ₹34,999 for the 6GB + 64GB version, the OnePlus 6T will start with 6GB + 128GB.
Apart from the base variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage, the OnePlus 6T will also come in 8GB + 128GB and 256GB variants. The price of the 8GB + 128GB variant is being reported as ₹40,999, which is an increase of ₹1,000 over a similar variant of the OnePlus 6. The 256GB variant might cost ₹44,999, which is also an increase of ₹1,000 when compared to a similar variant of the OnePlus 6.
OnePlus 6T launch date
OnePlus also announced that it has advanced the launch of the OnePlus 6T by one day to avoid clashing with Apple’s launch event. The smartphone will now launch on October 29 instead of October 30.
