OnePlus has launched the McLaren Edition of the OnePlus 6T in India on Wednesday. After announcing the phone a day earlier in the UK at £649 with a new design, 10GB of RAM and Warp Charge 30, the company aims to amplify the speed on its phones. The OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition is priced at Rs 50,999 in India.

Starting with the design of the device, the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition features a carbon fiber pattern below the glass on the rear panel and a Papaya Orange finish that races around the bottom edge of the device before fading into the black. The carbon fiber pattern is based on McLaren’s carbon fiber, the technology at the heart of all its cars since 1981.

While earlier limited edition devices have used the same hardware as the regular device, OnePlus has packed the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition with some enhancements. It features 10GB RAM and sports Warp Charge 30, OnePlus’ new charging standard that it claims can provide 50% charge in just 20 minutes of charge.

The new Warp Charge 30 is said to be based on OPPO’s Super VOOC Charge. OnePlus has used new Integrated Circuits in both the charger and the phone along finely tuned power management software to power up the device without generating excessive heat.

The OnePlus 6T features 10GB RAM along with 256GB of internal storage and has been priced at Rs. 50,999. It will be available in India starting December 15 on Amazon India, OnePlus India Store and OnePlus Experience Stores.

Commenting on the launch, OnePlus CEO Pete Lau said, “the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition is stunning. Engineered with exact precision and new technology we’ve never used before, it’s our fastest, most cutting-edge device ever – the epitome of craftsmanship. It’s the start of an exciting partnership with McLaren, giving people a feeling of incredible speed and performance.”
