OnePlus has entered into a partnership with Reliance Digital to sell the OnePlus 6T in Reliance Digital stores across multiple cities in India. In addition to getting a hands-on OnePlus 6T, customers will also be able to buy OnePlus accessories in Reliance Digital stores.
To recall, OnePlus had partnered with Croma, a retail chain owned by the Tata group. Customers could buy the OnePlus 6 at Croma stores across the country. In addition to this, OnePlus also set up several pop-up stores across the country to attract potential customers by giving them a hands-on experience.
The OnePlus 6T is scheduled to launch on October 29th at an event in New York. The smartphone is already up for pre-order on Amazon.in at a token amount of ₹1,000. Customers who pre-order the OnePlus 6T on Amazon.in will also get a pair of USB Type C headphones for free, along with a ₹500 Amazon Pay voucher.
OnePlus 6T specifications
The OnePlus 6T is expected to launch with a 6.4-inch Optic AMOLED display with an in-display fingerprint sensor. It will be launched with Android 9.0 Pie out of the box with an updated version of Oxygen OS on top. Leaks suggest that the OnePlus 6T will come with a 12MP main camera with a variable aperture of f/1.5 to f/2.4, along with a dedicated night mode.
Powering the OnePlus 6T will be the octa-core Snapdragon 845 chipset, coupled with up to 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB UFS2.1 storage.
OnePlus 6T price and availability
According to a new leak, the OnePlus 6T will see a mild increase in prices, and the storage variants on offer will also change. The report suggests that the OnePlus 6T will start at ₹37,999, which would seem like an increase of ₹3,000 when compared to the OnePlus 6. However, while the OnePlus 6 is being offered at ₹34,999 for the 6GB + 64GB version, the OnePlus 6T will start with 6GB + 128GB.
Apart from the base variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage, the OnePlus 6T will also come in 8GB + 128GB and 256GB variants. The price of the 8GB + 128GB variant is being reported as ₹40,999, which is an increase of ₹1,000 over a similar variant of the OnePlus 6. The 256GB variant might cost ₹44,999, which is also an increase of ₹1,000 when compared to a similar variant of the OnePlus 6.
