OnePlus 7 Pro and OnePlus 7 launched in India: Here are all the details

OnePlus phones have a history of combining great performance with a low price tag and even better service to consumers. The two phones launched this year are no different and they are bound to shake things up in the smartphone industry.

Design and display

The screen on the OnePlus 7 is much like the one on the 6T and is only slightly improved. The OnePlus 7 has a screen size of 6.4-inches, which is a bit larger than the one on the 6T. The screen has a resolution of 1080x2340 pixels and an FHD+ display.

The OnePlus 7 Pro on the other hand has a full screen, bezel less display without a notch. The display on the phone is a 6.7-inch QHD+ SuperAMOLED screen with a 1440x3120 resolution, which should make for a crisp viewing experience. Additionally, the OnePlus 7 Pro has a 90Hz refresh rate display that makes everything look much smoother. Apart from that, the display made a few headlines when the company announced a few days back that it will support HDR10 and it got an A+ rating from DisplayMate.

Under the screen, there will be the same fingerprint scanner but this time, it will be faster and more reliable as this is a newer generation of the same technology.

Under the hood

Under the hood is where both the phones shine and even take the cake from the more high end phones. The OnePlus 7 and the Pro variant will come equipped with the latest and fastest Snapdragon 855 paired with at least 8GB of RAM. Options on the OnePlus 7 series can get you RAM up to 12GB and internal storage up to 256GB, which should make for blazing fast performance. The OnePlus 7 Pro will come in three variants- 6GB+128GB, 8GB+256GB and an 8GB+256GB. The OnePlus 7 on the other hand will ship in only two variants- 6GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB.

Camera

As for the cameras, this is one area where we should see the most upgrade. Both the phones in the series will come equipped with a triple camera shooter. The OnePlus 7 will have a dual camera setup while the 7 Pro will have triple rear cameras. On the 7 Pro, there will be primary 48-megapixel shooter, a telephoto zoom lens with 8-megapixels and a third ultra wide angle lens to capture more details with a 16-megapixel sensor. As for the OnePlus 7, it will have a dual camera set up and a front facing camera within the notch. The primary sensor in the set up is a 48-megapixel shooter and the secondary one is the telephoto lens with an 8-megapixel sensor.

Software and Battery

Moving on to the software and battery, both the phones will come with Android 9.0 out of the box. From a flagship phone in 2019, this is the least you can expect. As for the battery, the company is upping their game. The OnePlus 7 Pro will sport a massive 4,000mAH battery that will have support for warp charging 30, which is said to be faster than previous generation charging speeds.
