The Redmi Note 7 has been confirmed to launch in India soon, after being unveiled in China earlier this month. Featuring a 48MP camera, the Redmi Note 7 is the first smartphone to be launched under the Redmi sub-brand. For all intents and purposes though, this is just a branding exercise, as Redmi will continue to use Xiaomi resources.

Xiaomi India Managing Director Manu Kumar Jain had posted a photo on Twitter with him holding the Redmi Note 7 next to Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun. Further, he states that “Amazon #48MP is coming.”, which confirms the India launch of the Redmi Note 7.
.
The Redmi Note 7 is the first Xiaomi (er, Redmi) smartphone to feature the smaller, waterdrop-shaped notch. It sports a 6.3-inch Full HD+ LTPS LCD display, with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The phone runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with MIUI 10 on top.

In terms of power, the Redmi Note 7 comes with the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset, which also powers the Xiaomi Mi A2. Apart from that, the phone is offered in three RAM variants - 3GB, 4GB and 6GB, paired with 32GB or 64GB of internal storage.

Coming to the main highlight of the phone, there is a 48MP Samsung GM1 sensor on the back, which is assisted by a 5MP secondary camera. The rear cameras are backed by AI and come with features like portrait mode, scene detection, background blur and more. On the front, a 13MP camera is housed in the notch.

Given Xiaomi’s past record in India, it could either launch the Redmi Note 7 Pro with a more powerful chipset and Sony’s IMX sensor for true 48MP experience instead of the Redmi Note 7, or launch both the Redmi Note 7 Pro as well as the Redmi Note 7.
.Moto G7 leaked on official website
