Samsung today launched the Galaxy A9 (2018), the world’s first quad-camera smartphone in India. Featuring a total of five cameras, the Galaxy A9 (2018) was unveiled earlier this year in Malaysia.
The Galaxy A9 (2018) comes with a quad-camera setup - with one main camera, a telephoto lens, an ultra-wide lens and a depth sensor. In addition to the rear cameras, the A9 (2018) has a 24MP front camera with a f/2.0 aperture, making it an interesting option for users looking for a phone with a good selfie camera.

The Galaxy A9 (2018) features a 6.3-inch Full HD+ (2220 x 1080 pixels) Super AMOLED Infinity display with an aspect ratio of 18.5:9. It runs on Android 8.0 Oreo with Samsung’s custom skin on top.
Powering the Galaxy A9 (2018) is the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset, with Adreno 512 GPU. This is paired with 6GB or 8GB RAM and up to 128GB internal storage. The internal storage can be expanded up to 512GB using a microSD card.
Coming to the main highlight of the Galaxy A9 (2018), the phone features a total of five cameras. On the back, there is a 24MP main camera with f/1.7 aperture, a 10MP telephoto lens with f/2.4 aperture, an 8MP 120-degree ultra-wide camera with f/2.4 aperture and a 5MP depth-sensing camera. On the front, it has a 24MP camera with f/2.0 aperture.
Other features of the Galaxy A9 (2018) include a fingerprint sensor, dual-SIM, 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth 5.0 and GPS. It is backed by a 3,800mAh battery which comes with fast charging support.

Samsung has priced the Galaxy A9 (2018) at ₹36,990 for the 6GB variant and ₹39,990 for the 8GB variant. It comes in three color options - Caviar Black, Lemonade Blue and Bubblegum Pink. The Galaxy A9 (2018) is now available for pre-booking and will be sold from November 28 via Amazon, Flipkart, Samsung Shop, Paytm Mall and Airtel Store.
