Chinese smartphone maker Vivo today announced the launch of the V15 Pro, it’s latest mid-range device in the V-series. The device was spotted last month after a case belonging to the device was leaked online.
The Vivo V15 Pro is a feature packed device, sporting a 32MP pop-up selfie camera, triple camera setup at the back and a fifth-generation in-display fingerprint sensor. The device does not have a notch and it features 2.2mm top and 1.75mm side bezels offering a 91.64% screen-to-body ratio.
In addition to using a pop-up selfie camera to avoid using a notch, the smartphone maker has also placed the proximity and ambient light sensors under the display. Vivo has claimed that the pop-up selfie camera has a speed of 0.46-seconds and the company has tested it over 3 lakh times.
The Vivo V15 Pro runs on Android 9.0 Pie with the company’s Funtouch OS 9 on top. It features a 6.39-inch Full HD+ (2340 x 1080 pixels) resolution Super AMOLED display with 19:5:9 aspect ratio.
In terms of performance, the Vivo V15 Pro is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 SoC coupled with Adreno 612 GPU. In terms of memory, the device features 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 256GB via a microSD card.
Coming to the camera department, the Vivo V15 Pro features a triple camera setup at the back consisting a 48MP primary camera that uses pixel binning technology to output images at an effective resolution of 12MP, a 5MP depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture and an 8MP 120-degree wide angle camera with f/2.4 aperture. On the front, the device sports a 32MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture.
The Vivo V15 Pro is powered by a 3,700mAh battery with Dual-Engine fast charging support. Connectivity options on the device include dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac dual-band, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, 3,5mm audio jack and a USB port.
