Vivo’s first gaming phone under iQOO sub-brand to launch on March 1

Off late, it seems like almost all companies are coming out with spin-off brands. OPPO came out with Realme last year, Xiaomi has their Redmi lineup and now, Vivo has one too. Their new lineup will be called iQOO. Yes, the name is not the best, but judging by the specifications for their upcoming phone, it should be one of the top players in the market. The first iQOO phone is expected to hit markets by March 1.

The ten-day-old company has recently been teasing the launch of its first smartphone. According to leaks, speculations and teasers, the phone will be a gaming-centric phone, aimed at rivaling the likes of Razer phone and Asus ROG phone.

In order to do so, it is speculated that the phone will sport a Snapdragon 855 chipset, the latest in the line and a massive 12GB RAM for enhanced gaming and day to day performance. It is also speculated that the phone will come with support for 44W fast charging, which is faster than OnePlus, OPPO and Huawei fast charging.

Apart from that, the phone is speculated to come with a massive 4,000mAH battery and 256GB of internal storage to help with all your gaming needs. Additionally, the phone will come equipped with a USB-C connector, unlike many other Vivo smartphones that still use the micro-USB connector.

As of now, the only thing known about the cameras is that it will come with a triple rear camera set up. Additionally, the phone will come with an in-display fingerprint sensor, which is a great addition. All of these details, however, must be taken in with a pinch of salt as this is just information from leaks and speculations.

In other news, Vivo will be launching their V15 Pro today in India. The phone is said to sport a motorized camera module so as to have a completely bezeless display. The highlight of the V15 Pro is the pop-up selfie camera setup which will pack a 32-megapixel sensor. At the back, the phone will pack a triple camera setup where the main sensor will be 48-megapixels. The phone is a direct successor to the Vivo V11 Pro and fans have high hopes for the phone.
