Xiaomi Redmi Note 7, Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro launched in India

Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi has announced the launch of two new budget device, the Redmi Note 7 and the Redmi Note 7 Pro in India. While the company had earlier revealed that it is going to launch the Redmi Note 7 today, the Redmi Note 7, while expected, was not confirmed by the Chinese smartphone maker.

The Redmi Note 7 Pro has made its debut in India and the was device was first announced by the company during the China launch of the Redmi Note 7. The main highlight of the device is its 48MP primary sensor with Sony IMX586 sensor.

The Redmi Note 7 Pro runs on Android 9.0 Pie with MIUI 10 on top. It features a 6.3-inch Full HD+ (2340 x 1080 pixels) resolution 2.5D curved LTPS in-cell display with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 Protection.

In terms of performance, the Redmi Note 7 Pro is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 SoC coupled with Adreno 612 GPU. In terms of memory, the device has been launched in two variants - 4GB RAM + 64GB internal storage and 6GB RAM + 128GB internal storage.

Coming to the camera department, the Redmi Note 7 Pro features a dual camera setup at the back consisting a 48MP primary camera with Sony IMX586 sensor, 6P lens, phase detection autofocus, f/1.79 aperture, EIS and a 5MP secondary camera. On the front, the device sports a 13MP selfie camera.

The Redmi Note 7 Pro is powered by a 4,000mAh battery with Quick Charge 4.0 support. Connectivity options on the device include dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac , Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack and a USB Type-C port.

Pricing and availability

The Redmi Note 7 Pro has been priced at ₹13,999 for the 4GB RAM varaint and ₹16,999 for the 6GB RAM variant. The device will be available in Neptune Blue, Nebula Red and Space Black color options from Flipkart, Mi.com and Mi Home stores starting from March 13.

Coming to the Redmi Note 7, it has been priced at ₹9,999 for the 3GB RAM varaint and ₹11,999 for the 4GB RAM varaint. It will be available in Onyx Black, Ruby Red and Sapphire Blue color options from Flipkart, Mi.com and Mi Home stores from March 6.
