In order to make checking in an easier task, trial runs for facial recognition check-ins have begun, starting today. What's the update?

Since the trials will last three months, DIAL will get a chance to gauge responses over a period of time, from all sorts of different sources. Following that, they will be able to make any changes, if necessary.

All you have to do is book yourself on a flight with Air Vistara and you can see for yourself how facial recognition works. The first of its kind in India, facial recognition check-in technology is safer, faster and removes the need for an attendant who hands you your boarding pass.

Though the facial recognition technology is made secure using an array of high-tech cameras and 3D face mapping, CISF personnel will still check your credentials for any discrepancies.

Amid the lowering scale of COVID infection in Rajasthan, the state Education Minister on Thursday announced the reopening of schools from 2nd August, across all districts. These institutes have been shut ever since the outbreak of the second COVID wave, in April this year. Focused COVID sampling begins in Lucknow for detection of new variants

Notably, special testing camps are already operational at the airport, railway station and bus stops in Lucknow.

In view of the new COVID mutants surfacing in the country, the Uttar Pradesh government is initiating focused sampling schedules in Lucknow from today onwards.
