Stepping forward with the construction plans for the Kanpur-Lucknow expressway, the National Highway Authority of India has issued a tender in this regard. All set to begin construction within 6 months, this expressway will be the first highway in Uttar Pradesh to be linked to Lucknow's Ring Road for easier vehicular movements. Expected to be ready by 2024, this 63-Km long facility will reduce the travel time between Lucknow and Kanpur to nearly 45 minutes.

In a green upgrade, the Jaipur-Delhi expressway is expected to get India's first-ever electric corridor to power e-vehicles. As per reports, the Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has reached out to a foreign company to build the new e-highway and the project is likely to shape up by March '22. Amid the prevalent surge of dengue disease in Madhya Pradesh, Indore recorded the highest spike of fresh cases for the second consecutive day on Friday. Around 22 new dengue infections were recorded on September 17, pushing the total tally to the 225 mark. On September 17, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) announced the analysis report of the fifth sero-survey organised within the jurisdiction, between August and September. A total 8674 samples were tested during the survey where around 90% of those vaccinated partially or fully revealed antibody prevalency. Due to a delay in the completion of the new terminal building at the Kanpur Chakeri Airport, four new IndiGo flights will take off from the old terminus. As per reports, the deadline for the construction of the new building has been extended to December end, in line with the non-completion of civic work here. According to earlier plans, the new terminal was set to complete by September 30, which fit IndiGo's plans to introduce the 4 services from September 15.
