Mumbai’s love affair with South Indian food is an old one. The Light idlis, tangy sambhaar, fluffy dosas, creamy coconut chutney and deep fried vadas, are a thing of beauty & have fans every where in the world. Yet, these dishes aren't just what South Indian cuisine is about.

South Indian cuisine has comprises of some of beautifully prepared dishes that are packed with delicate flavours and unique spices. However, it is often difficult for us to find a good South Indian place where we can get authentic flavours as well as a variety of dishes.

To satiate your South Indian cravings, 'Curry Patta', a delivery and take-away outlet in Bandra Talao, is serving an expansive menu with quintessential flavours.

The real flavours of South India

Fairly new to the food scene of Bandra, Curry Patta serves quintessential South Indian food with savoury flavours, a ton of dynamic and uncommon options to pick from.

What we love about the place is the fact that they don't bank on the stereotypical Southern spread and don't just serve the commonly known idli and dosa. The menu here is packed with delicacies that are hard to find outside the Southern boundaries.

Dishes such as ghee roast chicken, Manglorean gassi, Goan spiced prawns, chicken chettinad, avial and kokam sharbat are not only difficult to find, but tricky to nail.

Yet, Currya Patta manages to serve not only delicious, authentic grub but also serve it all at extremely reasonable prices!

With a ton of chillies and the aroma of pure ghee, the ghee roast chicken and potatoes here are a crowd favourite as well as a must try. The thick coconut based avial, made with a blend of different veggies, is a creamy delicacy that is classic comfort food; while the Mangalorean pepper chicken with its kick of pepper and perfectly made green gravy is a chicken dish done to perfection.

Pair any of the dishes with Kerala parotha, coconut rice or appam and take home (or order) a meal worth remembering.

Knock Knock

While there are several places in Bandra that serve great South Indian grub, no-one does justice to the flavours like Curry Patta, especially at the given price point. We would definitely recommend getting more than a few packages of the awesome food they serve here and having a delectable South Indian meal.

Order your food from any major food delivery platform or get it packed from: 106/107, Comet Building, Turner Road, Next To PWC, Bandra Talao, Bandra West.
