Almost all the beaches in north Goa have a completely different vibe to them, some are quite some have the hustle and bustle all party lovers get attracted to and then there are some which are just perfect and Mandrem beach is one perfect beach nowadays, it has the serenity of the south Goa beaches and at the same time has a bit of fanfare as well.

Right across the road to the Mandrem beach lies our first pick of this article i.e. Stone wood Resort. It is built in a serene landscape with hut shaped chalets and a beautiful pool in the centre. The resort is fairly priced and has almost all amenities and a brilliant food court, yes they have a multi-cuisine food court which servers lip-smacking food courtesy chef Suresh Arya, don’t miss out on the Mexican food here especially chicken burrito. Hooka (Sheesha) lovers will not be disappointed. So sit in the open food court across the beach and enjoy your day at one of the finest new places to stay in North Goa.

The Park Baga River, Baga-Arpora

The only ‘adults only’ resort in North Goa

We all love Baga beach, don’t we? But in the last couple of years, our favourite Baga has become just a bit too crowded for some of us, but fret not as the Park group of hotels have answered our concern. The Park Baga River is perfectly located just slightly away from the traffic jams of Baga but still not far off for a visit to the beach every day.  There is no parallel to the hospitality of the Park hotels and the new resort is no different. The staff is well trained and ably headed by Mr Praveen Vashisht. The welcome drink on arrival ‘udaak’ served in a coconut will refresh you instantly and don’t forget to try the tiramisu waiting for you in the room. Rooms are beautiful and the interiors are an instant mood uplifter.

The food is tasty and almost every dish has something unique added to it by the Chef Swagat. Must try seafood bento box, chorizo and dairy free shahi tukda which is absolutely fantastic.

White Woods Resort & Spa, Morjim

[rebelmouse-image 22606276 original_size="2048x1247" expand=1]

White Woods as the name suggests looks pristine, the white huts nestled around a beautiful pool is a treat for the eyes. The resort is located slightly off the Morjim-Ashwem beach road opposite to the famous La Plage restaurant. It is a perfect destination for beach lovers (note it’s not on the beach but across the road). White wooden cottages are perfect for a luxurious getaway with all amenities.

If you are in the mood for Indian food then don’t miss the Delhi wala butter chicken here. Malaysian chicken and fish in the lemon sauce were as good as it gets in Goa and reasonably priced too. Our suggestion head to White woods if you are in the mood of a quiet family outing or a romantic getaway, the resort has a calm vibe to it but many famous restaurants and cafes are just a stone throw away from the resort so if you are in the mood to party then you will have plenty of options around. If you happen to stay in Morjim do visit the first floating bar of Goa ‘ Watermark’.
