SRFDCL hikes entry fees for Riverfront gardens, parks, and Atal Bridge
The Sabarmati Riverfront Development Corporation Limited (SRFDCL) has increased entry fees for the gardens, parks, and Atal Bridge along the Riverfront. Dev Chaudhary, Executive Director of SRFDCL, told the media, “The price has not been increased even once since the gardens were built on the riverfront. Now the fare has increased from Rs. 5 to Rs. 10 and from Rs. 10 to Rs. 20. This decision was made by the committee a month ago.”
The revised fees will apply to popular spots such as Subhash Bridge Garden, Usmanpura Garden, Children’s Park, Biodiversity Park, B J Park, Flower Park, and Atal Bridge.
SP Ring Road set for major expansion with cost of over ₹2,000 crore
The SP Ring Road in Ahmedabad is set for a six-lane expansion as part of a major upgrade by the Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority (AUDA). With an estimated budget of over Rs. 2,000 crore, the project aims to address growing traffic by adding two flyovers and two underpasses. Flyovers are planned at Aslali Junction and Dholera Expressway, while the Tragad underpass will be widened to six lanes.
This development is expected to improve safety and traffic flow on the busy 76-km stretch that encircles the city.
New foot overbridge and feeder bus service inaugurated
On Tuesday, a foot overbridge on Airport Road and a feeder bus service from Sindhu Bhavan Road’s multilevel parking complex were inaugurated. The new feeder bus will connect commuters from the parking complex to Thaltej Metro Station, Pakwan Circle, and Mansi Tower. These additions are expected to ease travel in the areas.
Police launch tenant registration drive
The Gujarat Police has initiated a special tenant registration drive, running from the 13th of October to the 27th of October. This state-wide campaign ensures strict compliance with tenant registration laws.
Officers are conducting door-to-door checks, and those found non-compliant with registration rules may face legal action.
