Data from emergency services (EMRI-108) reveals a surge in high fever cases in Ahmedabad. Over 160 such emergencies were reported in the first two weeks of May alone. These cases often include abdominal pain, vomiting, diarrhea, and sometimes even loss of consciousness. The extreme heat is believed to be contributing to these heatstroke-related illnesses.

Schools in Ahmedabad district to remain vigilant after bomb threat

Following a bomb threat received via email on the eve of elections, the Ahmedabad rural DEO's office has instructed all schools under its jurisdiction to remain alert and check their emails regularly. The email originated from Pakistan, raising security concerns.

Ongoing issues with RTO server disruptions

The vehicle portal at RTO offices across the state, including Ahmedabad, has been experiencing ongoing disruptions. For nine days out of the last eleven, the portal has been inaccessible from 10 am to 2 pm, hindering services like license renewals and address changes.

Authorities are working to resolve the issue permanently. While the portal was functional after noon yesterday, some applicants faced delays and will be rescheduled in the coming days.
