With 60.74 lakh voters expected to cast their ballots in Ahmedabad, comprehensive measures have been implemented to ensure voter welfare amidst the ongoing heatwave. ORS and health teams are in place, along with provisions for drinking water at each booth.

Staff members are to receive water jugs per station and up to three special kits containing welfare, hygiene, and medical supplies. Additionally, arrangements for hot meals during election duty and casualty treatment have been made.

As Amdavadis queue up to cast their vote, numerous individuals have faced disappointment upon discovering that their names are not on the voter’s list, preventing them from voting due to system errors.

Despite efforts by the District Election Team of Ahmedabad to update the voter list six months prior to the election, many citizens were unable to make necessary alterations such as name modifications, address updates, and constituency transfers. Consequently, their submissions did not accurately reflect in the election list, leading to their exclusion.
