Fare structure announced for Ekta Nagar-Ahmedabad Heritage Train

The Ministry of Railways has unveiled the fare structure for the Ekta Nagar-Ahmedabad Heritage Train. The basic fare for the Executive AC Chair Car (EC class) of the train will be Rs 885, in line with the current fare for the Executive AC Chair Car (EC class) on Shatabdi Express trains. Other charges, including reservation fees, superfast train surcharge, Goods and Service Tax, etc., applicable to the EC class, will be applied separately.

This special train operates every Sunday, departing from Ahmedabad at 06:10 am and arriving at Ekta Nagar at 9:50 am.

Decision to expand Chimanbhai Bridge to address growing traffic

In a long term move addressing the future of traffic from the Metro Train and Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium, a decision has been made to enlarge the Sabarmati Chimanbhai Bridge. The expansion aims to facilitate smoother travel for individuals heading towards Ashram Road and Kalupur.

A new bridge will be constructed alongside the existing one. A proposal for the new bridge has been prepared to address the city's evolving transportation needs.

Old City markets to remain closed on Monday

Preparations are underway to make way for the 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony for the Ram Temple of Ayodhya. Amdavadis are gearing up for various proceedings.

In light of this, many markets from the Old city, including Manek Chowk Choksi Mahajan, Ratan Pol Sona Chandi Dagina Mahajan, and the Ahmedabad Electrical Merchants and Contractors' Association, have declared a holiday on this day. Additionally, city trade associations are planning to observe the day off in solidarity.

Gujarat Gov declares half-day holiday for offices on Jan 22

In commemoration of the consecration of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, all government offices in Gujarat will observe a half-day holiday this Monday, as announced by officials on Friday. The state government issued a notification, specifying the closure of offices until 2:30 pm on January 22.
